Rodney Atkins and Michael Waltrip Partner for New GAC Series

Country star Rodney Atkins will team up with NASCAR driver Michael Waltrip in GAC's new series, Drafting Partners. The show will pair a new Country artist with a NASCAR driver for each episode to see how the worlds of racing and Country Music coinside. 

With the NASCAR fanbase being predominantly Country Music listeners, it's no suprise that the two worlds have come together to bring the fans the best of both worlds. "The fans are what ties us together," said Atkins. "The people who follow the sport are the same fans I see at our shows. We played the Speedstreet event and over 10,000 people came out to see us play."

After Atkinsplayed in Charlotte, N.C. at the Food Lion Speedstreet 600, he was introduced by Waltrip and later got the chance to hang out in the pit with him and many of the other drivers. Atkins said, "I've never been in the pit area so that was really unbelievable. Michael, Kasey Kahne and everyone were great. It was so cool to get to hang with them."
