Country music legend and 14-time Grammy winner Ricky Skaggs is back with the full band sound that has made him one of Country’s best selling artists.

Skaggs is adding to his collection of 12 No.1 Country Hits and 12 Top 20 Country Albums; his new album, Mosaic, is set to release Aug. 24 on Skaggs Family Records. Another Grammy winner, Gordon Kennedy, worked with Skaggs on this ‘inspirational’ album, mixing elements of Country Music and Beatles-esque melody with lyrics that speak to Skaggs. They made “music that is in my head and in my heart,” Skaggs described.

This new musical partnership is the latest in a 50 year journey that has seen Skaggs work and perform with everyone from Bill Monroe to Jack White, winning 14 Grammys and 8 CMA Awards and garnering 12 No. 1 hits and 12 Top 20 Country albums along the way.  Whether taking part in a guitar jam with Brad Paisley, Vince Gill and Steve Wariner to opening the 85th anniversary celebration of the Grand Ole Opry or sitting in with klezmer master Andy Statman in New York City, Skaggs is always forging ahead with cross-cultural, genre-bending musical ideas and inspirations.
