9/20/2007 Stephen L. Betts John Rich of Big & Rich wanted a sense of realism for the duo’s latest video, “Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace.” So when the script called for John to fall off a horse, although producers provided a stuntman for the scene, John decided he’d do it himself. "Wait, you're a professional rider," John reportedly told the stuntman. "You don't know how to fall. I, on the other hand, have fallen off horses many times, and not on purpose. Let me do the stunt." The director and stuntman tried to talk John out of the potentially dangerous shot, but he was insistent on doing it himself. By the end of the day, he had to do six takes but escaped injury. "I have fallen off a lot of things ... animals included," John joked. When he’s not performing stunts, John is busy producing a solo album for Alabama lead singer Randy Owen.
