9/20/2007 Stephen L. Betts   The countdown to one of the most anticipated album releases of the year has begun. Rascal Flatts’ Still Feels Good will hit stores on Tuesday (9/25), and the trio will have a big act to follow - actually a couple of big acts. With Kenny Chesney dominating the country charts with his just released CD, and Reba McEntire’s Reba Duets released just this week, Rascal Flatts will have their work cut out for them. But the act the group might have a harder time beating is themselves. Last time out, with the release of Me and My Gang, Rascal Flatts sold more than 722,000 copies in the first week. Will they do it again? The success of their chart-topping single, “Take Me There” can’t hurt. The guys are grateful to one of the song’s writers, none other than Kenny Chesney, for not keeping that song for himself. “It was the very last song we cut for the record,” says Jay DeMarcus, “and when we heard it we knew immediately that it was a Rascal Flatts tune. I guess Kenny tried to cut it for his record and it didn’t turn out as well as he’d hoped it would, and he thought of us immediately. We’re grateful to him because of that.” Rascal Flatts fans can wake up – and fall asleep with – the guys on the day their album is released. They’ll be featured Tuesday on ABC’s Good Morning America and The Late Show with David Letterman.
