6/6/2008 Patricia Montesinos   If last night is any indication of the surprises to come at this year’s Music Fest, Country Music fans fasten your seatbelts because you are in for one thrill-filled roller coaster ride. Rascal Flatts walked onto the home of Tennessee Titans, LP Field, as the surprise performance of the night.  The Academy of Country Music group of the year performed several songs and appropriately ended their show with the title song to their summer tour, “Bob That Head”. But the group that induces high-pitched shrieks from all ages of the female genre wasn’t the only surprise of the night.  Jessica Simpson graced the audience with a quick appearance on stage with the host of the concert, GAC’s Storme Warren.  The Texas-native released her single “Come on Over” to Country Music radio earlier this week and releases her freshman Country Music album in the fall. The night’s concert featured performances by Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler, Montgomery Gentry Jewel, who also recently released her first Country Music album, and acoustic performances by Jennifer Hanson and Luke Bryan. Whew!  To think that last night was one of four concerts that will take place on LP Field every night until Music Fest draws to an end Sunday, June 8.  Rascal Flatts kicked off what is sure to be four jam-packed days of Country Music performances, appearances, signings and overall hysteria.
