11/26/2007 Stephen L. Betts Raul Malo, former lead singer of the Mavericks, kicks off his first-ever Christmas Party Tour in Ridgefield, CT, on Wednesday (11/28). The tour coincides with the release of Marshmallow World, Raul’s first holiday album, which is already being hailed by critics as one of the year’s finest Christmas collections. After an enthusiastic response to several holiday tunes at select shows late last year, Raul decided to go all out this year and has twelve dates set for the inaugural Christmas Party Tour, where he and his band (replete with swinging horn section) will mix holiday favorites with songs from throughout his solo career, and maybe even a few Mavericks favorites. The tour concludes with three very special holiday performances in Nashville. On Dec. 19 Raul will bring his holiday cheer to the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, and on the 21st and 22nd he’ll take the stage of Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium for performances on the Grand Ole Opry.  Raul Malo’s 2007 Christmas Party Tour Dates 11/28 - Ridgefield, CT - Ridgefield Playhouse 11/29 - Pittsburgh, PA - Byham Theater 11/30 - Glenside, PA - Keswick Theater 12/1 - Verona, NY - Turning Stone Casino 12/4 - Uncasville, CT - Mohegan Sun Casino 12/5 – Boston, MA - Paradise Rock Club 12/7 - Baltimore, MD - RamsHead Live  12/8 - Irvington, NY - Town Hall Theater 12/11 - Alexandria, VA - The Birchmere 12/12 - New York, NY - Highline Ballroom 12/14 - Atlantic City, NJ - Music Box Theater at the Borgata 12/15 - Harrisburg, PA - Whitaker Center for Science & The Arts 12/19 – Nashville, TN – Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital 12/21 – Nashville, TN – Ryman Auditorium -- The Grand Ole Opry 12/22 – Nashville, TN – Ryman Auditorium -- The Grand Ole Opry
