Recording artists and songwriters Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts and prominent songwriter Jeffrey Steele have been announced as the newest Lifetime Members of the Nashville Songwriter’s Association International.

“Our friends in Rascal Flatts and the amazing Jeffrey Steele are expressing their support for the advocacy work NSAI does on behalf of songwriters and the music industry,” said NSAI Executive Director Barton Herbison. “Rascal Flatts and Jeffrey have been longtime supporters of both NSAI and intellectual property rights. They illustrate the fact that ‘creators’ are the ones changing the laws through NSAI.”

Lifetime Members are dedicated to increasing NSAI’s legislative efforts as a songwriters’ trade organization. Steele and Rascal Flatts join writers and artists such as Brooks and Dunn, Garth Brooks, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Jr. and Dolly Parton who have actively supported NSAI over the past 42 as Lifetime Members.
