Randy Travis Awed by Colleagues

Randy Travis has seen a lot during his career, but what he saw at the Kennedy Center Honors' celebration of George Jones caught him off guard.First of all, Brad Paisley performed "Bartender's Blues" as part of the show, which will air on Dec. 30."The vocals George did on that record are a masterpiece," Travis commented. "I said, 'Boy, you didn't pick an easy one did you?'"Following that, Alan Jackson performed Jones' biggest hit, "He Stopped Loving Her Today.""I would have had to pass on that particular song," Travis said. "There are certain vocal performances you don't even want to attempt. But I tell you what: Alan went out and sang that song so well, quite possibly one of the better vocals I've ever heard Alan do live."
