Not only did Country Music star Randy Travis release his first new Country album in eight years on July 15, but he made a little personal history, too. Travis hit the Country charts at No. 3 with Around the Bend, which makes his new album release his highest selling first week, ever.

To promote his new release, Travis has been hitting the television scene hard by appearing on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Good Morning America,” “The Today Show,” “Entertainment Tonight” and “Regis & Kelly.”

The star has spent over 23 years on the charts and is one of the top 10 selling solo Country artists of all time. He has sold over 21 million albums, has had 22 No. 1 hits, six Grammy Awards, five Country Music Association Awards, nine Academy of Country Music Awards and ten American Music Awards, according to a Warner Bros. Nashville press release.

On July 15, Travis also started up his new fan club, Randy’s Ranch. To visit the site, or to become a fan, visit randytravis.com.
