6/6/2008 Patricia Montesinos After 46 years apart, George Jones will be reunited with an old Martin-000 guitar that was stolen from him in a Fort Worth, Texas nightclub, according to the Associated Press. The Good Samaritan returning the guitar is Larry Berry of Chandler, Texas, who said he bought the guitar from two teenage boys back in 1962. "It'll be a big relief," Berry, a retired oil man, said by telephone to the Associated Press. "I've written letters for years and called recording studios trying to find him. You can't believe how hard it's been." Berry paid $10 for the guitar that has Jones’ name adorned with streaks of “White Lightning”, one of the legends earliest hit singles, on the strap.   According to Jones’ spokeswoman, Susan Nadler, the singer is excited about getting his old guitar back, saying it was one of his first.  Berry will present the instrument to Jones when he takes the stage June 14 in Bossier City, La.
