4/3/2008 Lisa Ann Schleipfer The Tennesean reports comments Wednesday from former American Idol finalist Kellie Pickler on her time on Idol and the show’s positive effect on her career.  "They [fans] are such a huge part of our success. American Idol does something different because the American public is a huge part of us making it past each round. There is something magical about television for sure,” Pickler stated. Kellie’s post-AI fame has brought her widespread opportunities, with gigs such representing The Tonight Show at the Super Bowl and appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Pickler said that because of her television exposure, Country Music fans feel like they know her personally, going as far as to give her love advice while standing in line at the grocery store.  She said she doesn’t have any regrets about her public life, even when it comes to her family.  "Even with American Idol, people were like, 'Why did you talk about your mom or dad?' The thing is, people are going to find out anyway,” she states. American Idol boasted Country Music stars this week, with performances by Dolly Parton and The Clark Brothers, along with updates of former AI contestants Bucky Covington and Phil Stacey.
