1/18/2008 Stephen L. Betts Michael Peterson is launching a tour next month that will be presented by the U.S. Army. The singer, known for the hits “From Here to Eternity,” and “Drink, Swear, Steal, and Lie,” is embarking on the My Real Life - Strong for America tour in Knoxville, with a one-week stand starting Feb. 18. Michael says the tour is designed to challenge students, civic and business leaders, and other community members to build their community through several free initiatives and programs. The singer will spend a week in each tour city so he can “plant the seeds of values to grow strong Americans at a grassroots level.” Michael will talk about various programs that will be available for communities - including school assemblies, mentoring programs, internships, and volunteer-match programs - at no cost to the local community. Other cities on the initial phase of the tour include Greenville, South Carolina; Charlotte, North Carolina; Evansville, Ind.; Lincoln, Neb., and Waco, Texas.
