Singer-songwriter Paul Davis, who was responsible for some of Country Music’s biggest hits, died Tuesday, April 22, of a heart attack at his home in Meridian, Mississippi. He was 60 years old.

Paul’s first big hit came in 1986 when he dueted with Marie Osmond on the song “You’re Still New to Me,” which he co-wrote. One year later, he had another hit when he worked with Country Music stars Paul Overstreet and Tanya Tucker to sing ”I Won’t Take Less Than Your Love.”

However, Paul’s biggest hit came in 1978 for his single “I Go Crazy,” which stayed on the charts for nearly a year. Since his hits of the 1970s and 80s, Paul had retired back to his hometown of Meridian.
