Green is known for his enthusiasm for life and his “let the good times roll” attitude; his sophomore album is reflective of where he is in life. Green said, “Now I feel like I’ve finally come into my own, and I want to write songs by a man, by a father, by a guy that kind of has a handle on the situation.” The lead single on the album, “Let Me,” highlights Green’s warm and rugged voice. Other songs include “Carry On,” “Lucky” and the hilarious “Country Star.” The more mature singles that take Green out of his usual life-of-the-party appeal are “In This World,” “Footsteps of Our Fathers,” and the introspective “In the Middle of the Night,” which is the album’s closer. Green wrote eight out of the album’s 10 songs. He enlisted Dann Huff to produce the album. Green said, “I loved the sound of Dan’s records, and he’s a real guitar god, and that’s what I want now – someone who can make guitar records sound amazing.”
