Roy Orbison

Music legend Roy Orbison would have been 72 on April 23, but it was not to be. However, the music industry is paying tribute to the late music superstar.

A boxed set of Roy’s work will be released this September and will include work released on Sun, MGM, Virgin and many other record labels. A spokesman for Roy’s estate also promised some rarities and previously unreleased songs.

That same month, an updated version of his Black and White Night concert will be released in movie theaters across the country. This updated version includes never-before-seen rehearsals and interviews from the concert, which was taped in 1987 and aired one month before he died of a heart attack in 1988.
