The Grand Ole Opry is celebrating its 86th birthday during the full month of October, and many of country music's greatest stars want in on the action.

Starting Oct. 4, the Opry will be filled with major country stars, such as Carrie Underwood, Josh Turner, Connie Smith and guest of honor for the night, Randy Travis. Along with its birthday, Opry will be honoring Randy's 25th anniversary as a country musician and member of The Grand Ole Opry. Some of the night's performances will be featured on GAC's "Opry Live" on Oct. 15.

On Oct. 7-8, the "Opry's Official 86th Birthday Bash Weekend," Rascal Flatts, Ronnie Dunn and Charley Pride will grace the stage. There will also be pizza on the plaza, as well as an afternoon concert featuring Mel Tillis. To view a full schedule of the Opry's birthday weekend, visit www.opry.com.

On Oct. 11, Chris Young, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Montgomery Gentry, Sara Evans, LeAnn Rimes, Scotty McCreery and Trace Adkins will join the Opry stage. The performances will be shown Oct. 29 on "Opry Live."

The Opry will once again join Women Rock For The Cure with its "Opry Goes Pink" show to help support the fight against breast cancer.  Martina McBride, whose recent single, "I'm Gonna Love You Through It," serves as encouragement to those affected by cancer, is scheduled to perform at the show. Other performers include Edens Edge, Kellie Pickler, Ronnie Milsap, Laura Alaina and several others. For every ticket sold, $5 will go to Women Rock For The Cure. The show will broadcast live on GAC.

The month-long birthday celebration would not be complete without performances by country greats Brad Paisley, Clint Black, Keith Urban, Rodney Atkins, Bill Anderson, Charlie Daniels Band, Lee Greenwood, Little Big Town, The Oak Ridge Boys and Tanya Tucker. October promises to be a month of music and fun for country music lovers!
