11/16/2007 Stephen L. Betts Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, and Toby Keith are among the famous Oklahomans on hand to perform and applaud their state during the Oklahoma Centennial Spectacular, Friday, Nov. 16, at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City Vince Gill, Reba McEntire, and Blake Shelton are also slated to take part in the ceremony, along with rock bands All-American Rejects and the Flaming Lips, and five of the six Miss Americas from the state. Oklahoma was declared a state on November 16, 1907, by then-president Theodore Roosevelt.
