NSAI Songwriter Contest Deadline Nears

The Nashville Songwriters Association International is putting on a contest presented by CMT to help unsinged songwriters build relationships and skills they need to become hit songwriters. The contestants will submit their best songs and the chosen winner will have an exclusive songwriting session with Jewel.

Details for the contest are as follows: all genres are encouraged, the entry fees is $35 for NSAI members and $45 for non-members per song submitted. Proceeds benefit the NSAI Legislative Fund to protect the rights of songwriters. The deadline for the contest is Oct. 31. To enter go to www.nsai.cmt.com.

Other prizes include tickets to the 2011 CMT Awards, a tour around the CMT studio, a performance at the Bluebird Cafe, one year membership to NSAI and many others.
