No Shortage of Country Christmas Tours This Year

Wynonna
Musicians from Sara Evans to the Oak Ridge Boys and Kenny Rogers to Naomi Judd have Country Christmas tours lined up.
Rogers continues his annual holiday joy with his Christmas & Hits tour, for which he will perform some holiday favorites, including “Let It Snow” and “O Holy Night,” along with “The Gambler,” “Lady” and “Ruby.” The tour will run through Dec. 23 and will make stops in New York, Illinois and Michigan.
"I've always loved this season," said Rogers. "I think during this time people in general are truly different...they smile more, they're more gracious and generally seem happier.”
After her tour started on Nov. 28 in Hershey, Penn., Wynonna Judd will stop in 15 cities, performing many Christmas favorites along with her usual lineup. Her mother, Naomi, and step-father, Larry Strickland of the Palmetto Quartet, will also join her in Austin on Dec. 4.
“I take great comfort in tradition and I have always loved the season of Christmas," Wynonna said. "What the spirit of Christmas means to me is faith, family and fellowship."
Sara Evans’ Celebrate the Season tour started Nov. 27 in Worley, Idaho, and will continue through 14 cities until Dec. 14.
The Oak Ridge Boys will go on their 20th Christmas tour, performing hits such as “Elvira,” “Thank God for Kids” and a new single, “Mama’s Table.” The show is filled with Christmas
festivities and even a visit from Santa. The tour concludes in Illinois on Dec. 22.
Other Christmas tours include Michael Martin Murphey’s Cowboy Christmas tour, and Keni Thomas will be joined by Mark Wills and Alana Grace in the Middle East entertaining the troops in December.
Crystal Shawanda will tour for her Canadian Christmas Tour beginning Dec. 9, stopping in Ontario, London, Toronto. She will appear on the Canadian television shows, Canada A.M. and CMT Christmas Live Toronto.
