Walt Disney-owned Lyric Street Records, home of Rascal Flatts, Love and Theft, Bucky Covington and others; is shuttering the doors. They say it is due to “changes” in the music industry. I know those talented artists will find another home. Our thoughts do go out to the employees out of work, but I’m glad Goofy and Pluto are still safe.

George Strait has entered Billboard’s Top Ten radio airplay list with his latest single, “I Gotta Get to You”. That makes 30 consecutive years of top 10 hits. Congrats to you George. “I Gotta Get to You”, is that a song about a dog on a leash?
 
 
The ACM’s Are Finally Catching Up With American Idol
You can now text to vote for your fave for the Academy of Country Music’s Entertainer of the Year Award. The show is this Sunday the 18th. Who you gonna vote for? There’s Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and the Zac Brown Band. If only these paws had a little more dexterity.
 
 
Dierks Bentley’s Dallas-Ft Worth Miles and Music For Kids Lineup Announced
Dierks is very kind to do this motorcycle ride and concert to raise money for a local children’s hospital. Joining Bentley for the post-ride jam at Billy Bob’s Texas will be Brandon Rhyder, Kristen Kelly & The Modern Day Drifters and Roger Creager along with a few more surprise guests. All proceeds will benefit the Children’s Medical Center Dallas and Cook Children’s Medical Center of Fort Worth.
