Nicole Kidman Keeps Secrets by Burning Diaries

Nicole Kidman's recent British GQ interview is quite revealing. The December 2009 issue, in stores now, gets answers to some intimate questions about Kidman's relationships prior to current husband Keith Urban and her life with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

The New York Daily News reports Kidman said of her past, "I've explored obsession. I've explored loss and love in terms of being in a grief-stricken place, I've explored strange sexual fetish stuff, I've explored the mundane aspect of marriage and monogamy."

The actress, currently starring in the new film version of the musical Nine, said she was discouraged from marrying Cruise. Agents advised the then 19-year-old against a wedding with the famous actor. "I was like 'But I'm in love,'" said Kidman.

Although the actress freely discusses the beginnings of her 10-year marriage to Cruise, she is tight-lipped about its ending. The interview indicates that Kidman even admits to burning her diaries after meeting Urban, perhaps to keep secrets, or to honor her Country Music husband, whom she married in 2006.
