Nicole and Keith News: Kidman Preps For New Film

6/2/2008 Lisa Ann Schleipfer Nicole Kidman has lined up work for her post-baby days. She will begin filming the cinematic version Nine, a Tony-award winning Broadway musical. Joining her in the cast will be Daniel Day Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Sophia Loren and Judi Dench. This will be Kidman's first musical since her success in the Oscar-winning Moulin Rouge. The 1982 musical, inspired by the film 8½, is about a fictional filmmaker Guido Contini and his struggles to maintain his artistry. The screen adaptation of Nine was written by Michael Tolkin. The musical will be directed by Rob Marshall, who also directed the 2003 hit musical Chicago. Kidman's latest project, Australia, co-starring Hugh Jackman and directed by Baz Luhrmann, will hit U.S. theaters this November. Meanwhile Urban has been busy reconnecting with his fans. Three Urban fanatics recently filmed a show for GAC about their Urban memorabilia. Unbeknownst to the fans, Urban came along for the ride, and GAC cameras caught the one-on-one interaction. The resulting show, Ultimate Keith Urban Fans, will air this Saturday, June 7 at 9:00 p.m.
