Newcomers Joey+Rory Mourn Loss of Country Legend Vern Gosdin

The husband and wife duo of Joe+Rory, famous for their performances on CMT's Can You Duet, responded to the news of country legend Vern Gosdin's passing.  
"Joey and I were so saddened to hear this morning that Vern Gosdin passed away," said Rory Feek. "He truly was one of the greatest country voices of all time, and his songs like "Chiseled In Stone" set the bar for all of us and showed us what a great song is."
The couple met Gosdin in last year while in Nashville filming Can You Duet. After a chance encounter with the legend, the Feek's shared a meal at Cracker Barrel with their hero, listening to his stories and songs.  
"He was so funny, inspirational and full of life.  We were just honored to meet him and get to spend some time with one of our heroes....especially because at the time we were right in the middle of taping a tv show where we were doing all we could to lift up traditional Country Music and songs."
