After spending several years opening for Country legend Charley Pride, McCoy made his debut in 1990. Four years later, he began recording No Doubt About It with Muscle Shoals producer Barry Beckett. The album sold more than a million copies, initiating McCoy’s career.In addition to his musical success, McCoy has been recognized for his good works. In 2005, he won the Academy of Country Music’s Home Depot Humanitarian Award for his work with the USO and the East Texas Angel Network. In 2006, he was honored at the 37th Annual Country Radio Seminar in Nashville with the Country Radio Broadcaster’s Artist Humanitarian of the Year Award.
