4/11/2008 Lisa Ann Schleipfer According to Tennessean.com, multimedia executive and Nashville Star judge Anastasia Brown offers up her advice in the new book, Make Me A Star. In stores next week, the book is a guide for those aspiring to make it in the music biz, whether it is singing, writing songs, or playing music. The book was written to cover every aspect of getting ahead in the music industry. Fledgling artists are guided in determining their strengths and talents, given a how-to when it comes to managers, and even a what-to-do if when losing a talent contest.  The book also offers advice from top stars in the industry, as interviewed by Brown. "I want people to be inspired by this book and take on the world," said Brown in Friday’s article. "I want them to believe in themselves that they can do it, and hopefully figure out how they can do it a little more clearly. This book is relevant for any career." Seeing a niche for the book, Brown was approached by publisher Thomas Nelson.  After Brown agreed, USA Today music writer Brian Mansfield was brought in on the project.  The team then started the book with a tight, three-month deadline, and Brown is proud of the results. "There's movies, television, Internet, touring and street teams," Brown said. "Every different option as of 2007 is in this book. I really wanted to make this an interesting read, not so dry. I have unpublished pictures and stories that add the life and the heart. And every time I went back to edit it I asked myself, 'Is this really helpful? Is this really specific?' If it wasn't I pulled it out."
