Nashville Women Rock Out For A Good Cause

Want to dress up, go out, and have a good time, but all in support of a great cause? Then mark your calendar, because the 3rd Annual Pink Trash Ball is scheduled for August 20, 2011. The festivities, sponsored by Women Rock for the Cure, will take place in Nashville at the Aerial from 7:30 to 11:30 pm. There will be a DJ playing a great variety of music, light appetizers, and a signature pink cocktail. All guests are encouraged to deck themselves out in pink. Tickets are $10 and are available at ticketalternative.com.

Proceeds from the night will benefit Women Rock for the Cure’s ongoing work in supporting cancer research and community outreach programs. One of the group’s current initiatives is hosting the inaugural Young Survivors Retreat. The weekend retreat will take place September 23-25 at the Deer Run Retreat Center in Thompson’s Station, TN, and will unite young women from all over the country who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Women Rock for the Cure is also working on raising money for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on October 29th in Brentwood, TN. For every $10 the team raises, they will add a link to a pink chain that will be on display at the race.
