8/1/2007 Stephen L. Betts The Nashville Association of Musicians and the makers of the Fox reality show Nashville have thus far failed to reach an agreement to pay union musicians. According to the Tennessean, Harold Bradley, president of the union's Nashville office says, "We negotiated all day Monday and Tuesday, and we do not have an agreement, so the local union musicians still cannot work for Go Go Luckey Productions on Nashville." Harold adds that the show's budget didn't factor in the cost of musicians. "They say reality shows don't cost much to make, which is true. What makes this different is this one has music and performers. They have got to figure out some way to accommodate a budget for this." Todd Beck, a spokesman for Go Go Luckey, told the newspaper "We're currently working on a resolution with the union, so when the show premieres, Sept. 14 on Fox, we will be able to portray Nashville at its finest."
