Nashville Music City Camp Announces Dates and Registration Information

A team of music industry professionals created the Nashville Music Business Camp to provide the knowledge to help aspiring music business professionals to achieve their dreams in having a successful music career. Held in Nashivlle, the camp offers a three-day educational seminar beginning Thursday, April 20, and running through Sunday, May 3.  
The Nashville Music Business Camp initiates, produces and promotes short seminars that provide information for aspiring artists, songwriters, musicians and those pursuing career in music business. The organizers of the camp have gained the support of many Music Row professionals, who will be leading some of the lectures and panel discussions. They will offer their advice as well as conduct some instructional classes concerning different fields in the music industry.
Founding member of Alabama and member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Teddy Gentry, is the founder of the Nashville Music Business Camp. Of the event, he said, "If you are serious about a career in the music business, this is where you need to be. We want to help make it happen.” Gentry will also be heading discussion on the total "artist package." On Friday, May 1, at Douglas Corner, Gentry will perform with guest writers in-the-round.
Industry professions from Creative Artist Agency, Curb Records, the Nashville Songwriters Association, Music City Media & Marketing, Extreme Writers Group and some other big industry personnel will be involved in the camp. Award-winning songwriters who will be performing include Steve Dean, Danny Wells, Trent Jeffcoat, John Schweers, Karen Staley, Michael Peterson, Buddy Jewell and Jamie Lee Thurston. 
The camp will include sessions on artist management, booking, entertainment law, financial planning, internet marketing, interview techniques/media training, management, publicity, publishing, songwriting and vocal training and performing.
