The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum has announced another round of inductees. The men being given this honor have either used their instrumental or production genius on songs such as “Dock of the Bay”, “Mustang Sally” and “Peggy Sue.” According to tennessean.com The Musicians Hall of Fame gives honor to those instrumentalists and producers and others who are a key part of creating great music, but often go unnoticed. The musicians union and other industry professionals nominate those inducted into the hall of fame. On Oct. 28 Booker T. and the MGs, The Memphis Horns, The Muscles Shoals Rhythm Section, The Crickets, Al Kooper and Billy Sherrill will all be inducted into the hall of fame at the Schermerhorn Symphony Hall. Director Joe Chambers says there will be one more inductee announced closer to the show date. Last year’s inductees were just as talented as this year’s including studio players from Elvis Presley’s Blue Moon Boys, Motown’s Funk Brothers, The Memphis Boys and Johnny Cash’s Tennessee Two. With the success of the first show director and founder Joe Chambers says that this year should be even better.
