The apartments will go for low $300s to the low $600s with 180 spaces available. The complex will include every amenity imaginable for a comfortable retirement, made possible by the Crescendo Music Community (CMC) fund, a non-profit organization with a volunteer board of music industry and community leaders. Located 30 minutes from Nashville in historic Franklin, Tenn., The Crescendo will offer assistance to those retirees who haven’t really had the opportunity to plan for their future. “These are people who might work for an artist for 20 or 25 years, and when the artist retires, they may be without a job. A lot of these people, through no fault of their own, have not been able to plan for their futures. Some of the folks who work tirelessly behind the scenes might need our support, and that’s what we want to provide,” said Martina McBride, CMC Fund board member. The project will provide an opportunity for the best of the best in building to come together. Companies such as Blakeford Development Services and Southern Land Company are just a couple of the names contributing. Financially The Country Music Association, The Academy of Country Music and The Opry Trust Fund have all provided seed money to get the building up and running. Ground breaking is set to begin in 2011 and occupancy beginning in 2013. For more information visit www.thecrescendo.org.
