"Mr. Stubbs Goes to Washington" Airing on 650 AM

Grand Ole Opry announcer Eddie Stubbs will take listeners through the White House during the debut of his two-hour special, Mr. Stubbs Goes to Washington, tonight, Aug. 13, at 9 p.m. CDT. Tune in on 650 AM and wsmonline.com.
The special covers a day earlier this summer when Stubbs, along with Alison Krauss, Brad Paisley and Charley Pride, visited the White House and performed for the President, his family and a host of VIPs.  He's been around a while, but Stubbs said this was one of the most important days in his career.
"That was a truly annointed day for Country Music," he said. "I am excited to be able to share the magic of the day for listeners. I hope that they'll feel the pride in our genre of music and in our country we all felt that night."
