More Presenters Announced for CMA Awards

Additional performers and presenters for The 42nd Annual CMA Awards were announced by CMA over the weekend. Vince Gill, Julianne Hough, Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman, Jake Owen, John Rich and Jimmy Wayne were announced as additional presenters. Additionally, Darius Rucker, previously announced as a presenter, will be performing as well.Tammy Genovese, CMA Chief Executive Officer said, "The lineup for this year's CMA Awards is outstanding. We know our viewers will enjoy this mix of Country Music artists and celebrities."The newly announced presenters will make the CMA Awards ceremony even more special. Vince Gill hosted the CMA Awards from 1992-2003. He won the CMA Award for Entertainer of the Year twice, and he has won 18 other CMA Awards. Gill is only second to Brooks & Dunn for winning the most CMA Awards ever.Julianne Hough, Dancing With the Stars dancer turned Country Music singer, will be making her CMA Awards debut this year and will be co-hosting the CMA Awards Red Carpet Live! Presented by Chevy with Craig Morgan. Jimmy Wayne will also make his CMA Awards debut as a presenter.Jake Owen received a nomination for this year's CMA Musical Event of the Year for his performance with Sugarland and Little Big Town for “Life in a Northern Town” and John Rich is also nominated as part of Big & Rich for Vocal Duo of the Year.The 42nd Annual CMA Awards will be co-hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Performers include Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Rodney Atkins, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney with The Wailers, the Eagles, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and a special surprise guest. Previously announced presenters are Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus, Heidi Newfield, Taylor Swift, Josh Turner, Lee Ann Womack, Academy Award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon and another surprise guest. The CMA Awards will air live on the ABC Television Network, Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. EST from Nashville’s Sommet Center.
