Montgomery Gentry is back on the music scene with the release of their latest album, Back When I Knew It All. The duo is celebrating almost a decade of making Country Music, and although considered the underdog in the "duo or group" world of Country Music acts, the pair are certainly not down and out.

"Eddie [Montgomery] and I have no problems with where we're at now," Troy Gentry recently told The Weekender. "Would we have liked to have been bigger than we are now? Of course, as anybody would be, but the one thing that Eddie and I can say is being out here for nine years, we do have a career, that we're a mainstay. We'll be able to play, and we're going to be around for longevity."

The first single from the new album, "Back When I Knew It All," hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart, and subsequent singles also are making headway on the charts.

"I think we're setting ourselves up perfectly to make that next step," Gentry said. "I think this album shows and proves that we are ready to take that next step and hit the superstar headlining status."

Montgomery Gentry will be appearing this weekend at Ford Field in Detroit this Saturday with fellow Country Music star Kenny Chesney. Sunday takes the duo to Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Wilkes-Barre, Penn. For more information visit www.montgomerygentry.com.
