After 11 years with Columbia records, Montgomery Gentry has parted ways and signed with Average Joe’s Entertainment. The duo will release a single under the new label this spring.

The switch reunites the group with Average Joe’s president Tom Baldrica, who was in leadership positions at Columbia Records until July 2010.

"We couldn't be happier to be signing with [CEO] Shannon [Houchins] and Tom [Baldrica] and the guys at Average Joe's," Eddie Montgomery said. "Those guys are cut from the same cloth we are and man, they are so creative. We can't wait to get this new project out there to our fans!"

Things couldn’t be much better for the Kentucky natives. In January, the duo received the news that Montgomery is cancer free.

"Mr. Montgomery underwent successful robotic surgery for prostate cancer in December," said Montgomery's doctor, Thomas Kirk Slabaughm, Jr. "His cancer was completely excised, and he will not require further treatment for his prostate cancer in the future. Mr. Montgomery has benefited greatly from early detection of prostate cancer with PSA screening."

The boys are set to perform in the 12th annual Country Music Marathon presented by Nissan on April 30. They will hit stage at 7:00 p.m. at the Bridgestone arena following the races.

Tickets for the concert are on sale now for $35.00 and are open to the public. They can be purchased at the Bridgestone Arena box office, TicketMaster charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com.
