1/24/2008 Stephen L. Betts   Troy Gentry was visiting friends when he found out Montgomery Gentry had been nominated for a Grammy award. But he says he wasn't sure about the whole thing until a second call came about ten minutes later. Troy and partner Eddie Montgomery both agree the nomination - their first - gives them a new sense of accomplishment. With ACM and CMA awards under their belts, Troy says the Grammy nomination "completes the circle. We had not been nominated for one of these since we started 10 years ago.” The duo’s hit “Lucky Man” is up for Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group. Among their competition is another first-time nominee, Nashville-based swing group The Time Jumpers, along with Brooks & Dunn, The Eagles, and Emerson Drive. The 50th Annual Grammy Awards will air live Sunday, Feb. 10 from Los Angeles' Staples Center at 8 p.m. (ET) on CBS.
