Country Music superstars Montgomery Gentry are scheduled to appear on the premiere episode of Secret Talents of the Stars airing Tuesday, April 8 on CBS.  The duo will appear to coach George Takei, formerly of Star Trek, as he prepares to show off his secret talent: country western singing. “Man, how cool to be rockin’ with Mr. Sulu.  I’m such a Trekkie,” admits Eddie Montgomery.  “Beam us up to the Semi-Finals.” Montgomery Gentry have released a new single, “Back When I Had It All,” already a Top 20 hit.  The song is from their new album of the same name, which will hit stores June 10. The new celebrity realty show is designed around the premise of revealing the secret talents of sixteen well-known celebrities.  Every week, the stars will compete to determine who has the best unknown talent.  Like many of its reality TV predecessors, the show features three judges, but stars are voted to stay on or off the show via the viewers. Country Music fans will have two contestants to root for: The legendary Clint Black will be showing off his talent for stand-up comedy, while singer Jo Dee Messina will boast her “hip-hop meets step dancing” skills. The rest of the cast is a round-up of those in, or out, of the spotlight, such as figure skater Sasha Cohen, brainiac Ben Stein, child star Malcolm-Jamal Warner, musician Sheila E. and more.
