Miranda Lambert’s latest single, “The House that Built Me,” seems to be making itself comfortable as it settles in at No. 1 for the second consecutive week on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Her first two albums struggled to break the Top 10, but her newest album, Revolution, has had two chart-topping songs so far. “White Liar” was the first single off this album and made it all the way to No. 1.

“The House that Built Me” isn’t only a fan favorite, but an artist favorite as well. When Billboard asked four different songwriters what song they wished they’d written, “The House that Built Me” was the unanimous choice. Several artists have also praised Lambert on her newest single.

Lambert said, “I think it’s gonna start its own revolution in itself, because everybody I’ve talked to says, ‘You made me go back to the house…that I grew up in’ or ‘I’m going to in the spring’ or whatever.

“You know, even Joe Don [Rooney] the other day, from Rascal Flatts, was tellin’ me that they just tore his down ’cause the town was bought out that he grew up in. They just tore his house down, and he was just torn up about it even tellin’ me about it. It’s a really touching song. I mean, it’s good to know that it makes everybody else feel the way it made me feel the first time I heard it.”

Lambert is likely to perform “The House That Built Me” Friday night when she appears at Nashville’s LP Field during the CMA Music Festival.
