mindy-McCready Country Music artist Mindy McCready has plans to launch a new reality television series as a way to profit from her recent mishaps. According to The New York Daily News, Mindy McCready met with television executives last week discussing the specifics for Mending Mindy, a show that would shed light on her rocky life and career, including details on her relationship with former Yankees and Red Sox pitcher Roger Clemens. As a preview to the possible reality show, McCready recently discussed her story with Inside Edition, informing viewers that although she met Clemens when she was under-age, the relationship was not sexual for several years.  "We never had a meeting in secret," she said. "We went on vacations together. We went to Palm Springs. We went to Las Vegas. New York City." McCready called Clemens "one of the most wonderful men I’ve ever known," but also noted that "carrying on a relationship with him is not something I’m proud of." Lasting nearly a decade, the affair was ended by McCready, supposedly when he was unwilling to leave his current wife to marry her instead. The Country Music singer experienced problems early on, filing for bankruptcy just a few months after scoring several Top 10 hits and opening for George Strait on the road. Two years later, McCready was released from her record deal.Tabloids found her newsworthy when she purchased painkillers with a fake prescription in 2004 and then later when arrested for drunk-driving, having been beaten by her boyfriend, and for multiple jailings. She attempted suicide twice, was accused of assault by her mother and temporarily made up with the abusive boyfriend, leading to the birth of a son. McCready suffered a nervous breakdown this summer, then entered rehab once she was released from the hospital. "There aren’t words to describe how painful it’s been," Mindy said of her misadventures. "So painful, I haven’t wanted to live.I’ve lived recklessly. I’ve made a lot of mistakes...Redemption is out there for everybody to get. Just watch me. I’m gonna show you how to do it." An air date for the possible reality show has not been announced.
