2/22/2008 Meaghan Mitchell Miley Cyrus may have a No. 1 album, a sold-out tour, a hit movie, and and a spot as a presenter on this Sunday night's Oscar telecast, but some would say you haven’t made it until you’re one of the subjects on Barbara Walters pre-Oscar special. Miley sits down with Barbara for the Oscar night special airing this Sunday night (2/24) on ABC-TV at 7 p.m. (ET). Highlights of Miley's portion of the special include a peek at her original audition tape for the Disney series Hannah Montana, plus her dad Billy Ray's audition tape for his role as her father on the series. Among the interview topics, Miley explains to Barbara why she believes she’ll never be the train-wreck other young stars in Hollywood have become. “Some people don't have a family to fall back on like I have,” says Miley. “And faith ...keeps me strong." Another young Cyrus, Billy's Ray's 18-year-old son Trace, is part of a Los Angeles emo band called Metro Station. The group has generated buzz in L.A. without trading on Trace's family name. The group even sold out a show at the legendary Troubadour last weekend. “I wanted to see how long we could go without anybody knowing,” Trace tells the Los Angeles Times. “It's not like I didn't want to be associated with that, but I didn't want to be put in a genre where I had to be ‘Approved for mothers and 12-year-olds.’ I want to be myself.” With facial piercings and numerous tattoos, Trace's look is decidedly different from Miley's. “As you can see by going to his show or seeing a photo, we're very different,” says Miley. “Trace's success has nothing to do with the family. He worked hard all on his own.”
