Miley Cyrus Changes Her Name

1/30/2008 Stephen L. Betts Miley Cyrus has officially changed her name. And no, not to Hannah Montana, the character she plays on the wildly popular Disney Channel show. Entertainment Tonight reports that the teen sensation has officially changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus from her given name, Destiny Hope Cyrus. The name Miley is a shortened version of her childhood nickname, “Smiley.” According to ET, Miley adopted the middle name “Ray” in honor of her dad, country singer and Hannah Montana co-star Billy Ray Cyrus.
