MerleFest 2009 Announces Line Up

The 2009 MerleFest, slated for April 23-26, 2009, on the Wilkes Community College campus in North Carolina has announced its most amazing line up to date.The festival will feature traditional Appalachian music and more, in what the legendary Doc Hudson lovingly refers to as "traditional-plus."More than 20 years ago, the first MerleFest concert was held to raise money for North Carolina Community College and is now an internationally known music festival and fundraiser, showcasing folk and bluegrass music in honor of the legendary instrumentalist, Merle Watson.Along with Doc Watson, the coming festival is scheduled to showcase Emmylou Harris, The Grascals, Daily and Vincent, Travis Tritt and Jerry Douglas, and many more.
