The Country Music Hall of Fame member told the newspaper he had no plans to have the tumor removed at that time. In a message on his official Web site, Haggard’s wife, Theresa thanked fans for their support and wrote that he is “doing better and better every day.” She goes on to write, “Merle and I both believe strongly in our Lord Jesus Christ and His healing powers. After all, He is the greatest physician of all. Believing in our prayers to be answered is the key.”
