Mindy McCready Trial Date Set

2/26/2008 Staff A Lee County Florida judge set a March 25th trial date for country music star Mindy McCready during a hearing today (February 26). McCready was arrested and charged with battery on her mother and resisting arrest back in 2007. Lee County is the Ft. Myers area of Florida. Gail McCready told deputies that her daughter was drunk and tried to attack her on July 21, 2007. A week later, Nashville Police arrested the singer the minute she stepped off a plane for a probation violation. In 2006, McCready was arrested on suspicion of DUI. She was acquitted of the charge, but got probation for driving with a suspended license. McCready had a number one hit in 1996 with "Guys Do It All The Time."
