Mindy McCready Raises Eyebrows At CMA Festival

6/6/2008 Katie Ball Country Music problem child Mindy McCready is once again causing quite a stir with fans this week after saying the word “ass” and referring to men as “a-holes” during her performance Thursday at the CMA Music Festival. McCready opened the festival with a concert that featured Phil Vassar and Jo Dee Messina.   Generally the event is considered to be G-rated because it attracts families and multiple different age groups from around the world. When introducing her song “Guys Do It All The Time,” she yelled to the crowd, “I so hate men that think they’re in charge because you guys are so not! So for all you guys out there who don’t like this song that means you’re an a-hole!” This came after her saying that any man who didn’t like her song could “kiss her ass.”  McCready also made several jokes about her recent time in jail for violating her probation for a drug arrest in 2004. She has come under fire in recent months for an alleged relationship with baseball pitcher Roger Clemens. She was questioned by the FBI in May regarding Clemen’s use of performance-enhancing drugs. On a positive note, McCready has reportedly been recording new music and has a new song on her website, “I’m Still Here.”
