Martina McBride has conquered the world of Country Music, but now she's attempting to conquer the world of wine making.

The idea for a McBride wine came about when the singer was visiting a vineyard in California, which happened to have the same name as her studio: Blackbird. The name fit, and this June, Blackbird Vineyards released the 2006 Martina McBride "Signature Series" wine, according to GACtv.com.

"I'm not a very good wine speaker, but it's really a lot of fruit," McBride said in a recent interview with OK! Magazine. "It's a cabernet. It's a blend of cab and merlot and some other kind of wines. I love it because it has a little bit of chocolate. It's just a little bit sweet. Lots of jam. It'll be fruit-forward."

Fans of McBride also can catch updates on wine and whatnot from the star on Twitter. "I discovered it two or three months ago, and it's really fun," she said. "I'm really enjoying it. I don't try to overdo it. I check in a few times a day."
