Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group Lynyrd Skynyrd, will release Live From Freedom Hall on June 22 as a tribute to past members and a celebration of the group's continuing legacy.
Showcasing the band in it’s most natural state--on stage--the CD/DVD set and single DVD give fans the opportunity to experience one of the last Skynrd concerts to be recorded with longtime members Billy Powell and Ean Evans, both of whom passed away last year.
The band has been enjoying continuous success and publicity throughout the past year after their latest release, Gods and Guns, debuted at #18 on Billboard’s Top 20, the group’s highest debut since 1977.
Live From Freedom Hall will feature many of the songs that made Lynyrd Skynyrd a cultural icon; “Travelin’ Man,” “Simple Man,” “Ballad of Cutis Lowe,” and “Tuesday’s Gone,” are all included, as well as “Sweet Home Alabama,” which recently surpassed 2 million downloaded ringtones, according to a press release from Webster and Associates LLC.

Skynyrd will kick off it’s God’s and Guns Tour tomorrow at the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City then will begin touring with Bret Michaels and .38 Special on June 10 at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Fl. before embarking on the Hannity Freedom Concert series in August.
