10/12/2007 Stephen L. Betts   Little Big Town was in New York City this week for an intimate, acoustic performance at the Housing Works Café Bookstore in celebration of their upcoming new release, A Place To Land (out Nov. 6). While lunching with People magazine at Sosa Borello, the chic Argentinean/Italian bistro on the upper west side, their waitress asked, “Are you country singers?” As the Little Big Town members looked around the table at each other the waitress continued on, “Really… I’m from Mississippi and y’all sing that fishing pole song.”  The table broke into laughter, and the group invited the waitress to their special performance that night for a little taste of the “Boondocks” (a/k/a "that fishing pole song").
