7/23/2007 Stephen L. Betts The members of Little Big Town know that taking the stadium stage during the CMA Music Festival is, well, a little big. "It's such a tremendous opportunity," says Karen Fairchild. "All the hardcore country fans are assembled in one place. For new performers that means trying to be noticed." And perhaps new fans will take notice of the quartet tonight during the two-hour ABC special, CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock. which also features Brooks and Dunn, Big & Rich, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, LeAnn Rimes and Dierks Bentley. Little Big Town has been showing up at CMA Music Festival (formerly Fan Fair) since 1999, but it's only been in the last two years that things have really clicked for them, with hits like "Boondocks" and "Bring It on Home," from the platinum-selling album, The Road to Here. Among other moments that have been a little big for the group: a CMT Crossroads episode with Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, and performing and recording with John Mellencamp.  Still, not much can beat performing for the CMA Music Festival crowd. "You stand up there and stare out at 50,000 country fans," says Karen. "It's an amazing feeling." Look for Little Big Town on CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock, airing tonight on ABC, beginning at 9pm (ET).
