Lisa Hartman Black Joins Hubby Clint in Concert

9/5/2007 Stephen L. Betts Lisa Hartman Black will be taking the stage with husband Clint Black in a special performance at his Aurora, IL, concert at the Paramount Theatre on Sept. 8. Clint's Up Close and Personal Tour kicked off Aug. 23, and continues through mid-November.  Lisa will join her husband on two songs: the award-winning “When I Said I Do,” and a brand new duet titled “You Still Get To Me," which along with the current single, “The Strong One,” is featured on his new CD, due out in early 2008 on Clint's label, Equity Music Group. “Convincing Lisa to perform live was a very special challenge,” says Clint. “She has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard, but her preference is for as few people as possible to hear it. So, it’s always baby steps for me to get her to sing … first I lure her into the studio to cut the track with promises of it just being a scratch vocal to help me shape the duet. Then I convince her no one else can sing it like she does, so I get it on the CD. You don’t want to know what I have to promise to get her to walk out on a stage with me in front of thousands of people!” Actually, Clint, we do want to know!
