Singer-Songwriter Lee Hazelwood Dead at 78

8/7/2007 Singer-songwriter and producer Lee Hazlewood, best known for writing and producing the Nancy Sinatra smash, "These Boots Are Made for Walkin,'" died this past weekend at the age of 78. According to the Clark County (Nev.) coroner's office, he passed away from renal cancer Saturday, at his home in Henderson. Lee Hazlewood was most famous for his work with the daughter of Frank Sinatra, including writing and producing such hits as "Sugar Town" and "Some Velvet Morning." He also produced "Something Stupid," a No. 1 duet Nancy recorded with her father in 1967. He also produced hits for rock guitar legend Duane Eddy and Gram Parsons, and performed on a number of solo albums and with Nancy Sinatra in three "Nancy & Lee" albums.
